The Base Academy is an independent online learning platform dedicated to teaching Airtable skills through structured, gamified courses. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Airtable, Inc. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to The Base Academy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed backend platform with industry-standard security practices. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Access to your data is controlled through Row Level Security (RLS) policies that ensure you can only access your own information.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and session tokens to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Session authentication cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled while using the service.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage. Your account data and progress are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Netlify / Vercel (hosting): Our web application is hosted on a CDN provider. Access logs may be retained by the hosting provider per their own privacy policy.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We recommend reviewing their policies if you have concerns.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your learning progress data in a readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information and learning progress for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or compliance purposes.

The Base Academy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
